On August 22, 2026, Lewiston came together to create an incredible 1,487 feet of cheesesteaks! Organized by Main Street Grill and Happy Day Restaurants, the event brought farmers, local businesses, volunteers, and neighbors together for something truly special.
And the best part? The celebration raised $13,502 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lewis Clark Valley!
With Uhlorn Family Farms helping bring locally grown grain to the table, this event was more than a record-setting achievement. It was a celebration of local agriculture, community spirit, and the incredible things that happen when people come together
From Idaho Grain to a Community Table
Every great meal begins somewhere, and for this record-breaking celebration, it started in the fields of Uhlorn Family Farms.
Their regeneratively grown Idaho grain was milled and transformed into fresh rolls by Happy Day Local, then filled with locally sourced beef, peppers, and onions.
With nearly 60 volunteers working together, an incredible 1,487 feet of cheesesteaks came together in under 23 minutes!
But what made this achievement truly special wasn't just the record. It was the people behind it - from the farmers growing the grain to the bakers preparing the rolls, the volunteers assembling the cheesesteaks, and the community that came together to celebrate.
