Our Alahe’e varietal is produced in the Kaʻū Desert on the southernmost part of the Big Island. Rainfall is a huge factor as there has to be a healthy amount of rain to create flowers with nectar in sufficient amounts so local island bees can do their job. If all goes well and it’s a rainy season, we’re able to harvest a varietal that offers a lingering flavor profile on the tongue that’s a little bit sweeter than our Tropical Fruit.
