Local farms on Lana'i

No Lana'i producers sell on Farm To You yet. Below are the nearest producers who can still reach you. Get told when a local farm joins.

Lana'i was once the world's largest pineapple plantation. James Dole bought most of the island in 1922, and the plantation closed in 1992 after seventy years of production. Today a two-acre hydroponic operation, Sensei Farms, grows leafy greens in six solar-powered greenhouses and supplies stores on several islands. Lana'i is a small island with few farms, so local produce is a minor but growing part of what residents eat. Most food still arrives by boat.
